This page contains software applications that work on the PAC Mate. These programs expand the capabilities of your PAC Mate.

Please Note:

1. These programs have been written for Pocket PC and have been found to work reasonably well with PAC Mate. In some cases, you will need to use JAWS Cursor to review the screen. However, please bear in mind that neither Freedom Scientific nor PACMateGear team can guarantee flawless operation of any of these programs on PAC Mate.
2. Most of the links in this section will take you to relevant pages maintained by respective software developers.
3. If a particular product is freeware, we state so in the product's description. Otherwise, check with the respective Web site for pricing. In all cases, demo versions are available.
4. To install these programs, you will need your desktop or laptop computer, as well as your PAC Mate. Please refer to PAC Mate Manual for directions on how to install third-party software.

• Shareware IRC client for PAC Mate by Braillesoft INC.
  This PAC Mate specific IRC client helps you remain connected to Internet Relay Chat.
• Freeware FTP client for PAC Mate by Braillesoft INC.
  This PAC Mate specific FTP client helps you transfer files to FTP sites directly from your PAC Mate.
• Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 for Windows XP/2000/2003 Server
  This standard utility allows you to synchronize your PAC Mate with a PC.
• Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista
  Windows Mobile Device Center for Windows Vista keeps your PAC Mate and desktop synchronized
• SyncExpress
  SyncExpress is an ActiveSync service provider that enables synchronization of Microsoft Windows Powered Pocket PCs with Microsoft Outlook Express.

• IBM LotusŪ EasySyncŪ Pro
  IBM Lotus EasySync Pro lets you synchronize your IBM Lotus Notes e-mail, calendar, tasks, contacts and journal information between Lotus Notes and supported market-leading personal data assistants (PDAs). You can access your most critical Lotus Notes technology-based information anywhere, without the need to carry a laptop computer. And EasySync Pro lets you conveniently capture new information about meetings and contacts-- even compose and manage e-mail-- while away from your PC.
• VxHPC
  This is a terminal emulation either via telnet or serial communications program for PAC Mate.
• VxUtilities
  This is a suite of utilities including ping traceroute and nslookup for the PAC Mate.
• VxIpConfig
  This is an IP Configuration program for PAC Mate. It can renew and release DHCP Assigned Addresses.
• AOL Instant Messenger
  Communicate with buddies using AOL Instant Messenger.

• Pico Web Server
  This is a small Freeware web server for PocketPC that runs very well on PAC Mate.

File Management

• Mobsync
  This application allows you to syncronize other locations on your PAC Mate other than just my documents to your syncronized files folder. Good way to keep flash disk up to date.
• RAR Archiver for PocketPC This is the popular version of the RAR archiver for PocketPC. Compress and uncompress files in .rar and .zip formats. Works great on PAC Mate.

Multimedia

• Audible Player Listen to Audible on your PAC Mate.
• RealOne Player for Mobile Devices
  Play RealAudio files on your PAC Mate. Free.
• GSPlayer
  Play local and streaming mp3s, ogg and other formats on your PAC Mate.

• Resco Audio Recorder
  allows you to record in multiple formats directly to your CF card, pausing and resuming in the same file. Your PAC Mate must be running version 2.2 of the Software.

  An HTML editor for PAC Mate.

Your PAC Mate must be running version 2.2 software or higher.
• Paragon Software SlovoEd
  access powerful multilingual dictionaries with this convenient interface that provides quick translation, a large number of entries, low memory consumption, and the ability to install several language pairs at the same time. You must be running PAC Mate version 2.2 or higher.
• Laridian Pocket Bible
  Study the Bible on Your PAC Mate. Several Bible texts, dictionaries and even commentaries are available.
• Bible for Pocket PC
  Another Bible Study Program for Your PAC Mate. This one is easier to use, although you will still need JAWS Cursor. The Bible Reader is free, and so is King James Version.
• qdCAS
  qdCAS is a Computer Algebra System for Pocket Pc. This program requires scripts from our Custom Scripts section.
